Commissioned by Plymouth Arts Centre for the exhibition ‘Recreate A Nervy Pistol? (An Early Retrospective)'

Filmed around a number of different locations in central Plymouth on one afternoon this was my attempt at the popular ‘Free Hugs' gesture, where a piece of paper with just those two words on is enough to get some people deciding to take you up on it.

There is photographic and video evidence online of numerous other attempts from all around the world. What is seen as the original ‘Free Hugs' video was made by someone called Juan Mann in 2006, it has since been watched over 68 million times.
